“Fearless and Fearful Movement”
Eden Johnson, Guest Preacher
Eden Johnson defines courage as the act of taking what is true and giving it voice despite our fear. We will explore ‘what is true’ and how that truth is in tension with fear. Join us as we explore the contours of this edge between courageous action and fear in ourselves, our beloveds and our greater communities. Eden is the Ministerial Fellow at Metro East UU Congregation in Glen Carbon, Ill. and is on the path to be a credentialed minister. He holds a B.A. in Religious Studies, a Masters in Divinity from Boston University School of Theology and a certificate of Spiritual Direction in Politicized Healing from Still Harbor.

Sept. 20 Sermon Video
The poet John O’Donohue wrote, "I would love to live like a river flows, carried by the surprise of its own unfolding."
On September 20, 2026, in their collaborative sermon "Take It to the Water," Rev. Jordinn Nelson Long and Rev. Dr. Molly Housh Gordon pondered what lessons the water of the Grindstone Creek can speak in our lives.
